It breaks my heart every time I remember that Snape never got to have his pain validated. He never had the chance to be heard, to go through the natural process of grieving, accepting, and healing. Instead, his suffering was either ignored or weaponized, used to push other people's agendas, with no one ever acknowledging the depth of what he went through.
What’s worse, in the cruelest twist of fate, he’s constantly compared to the very people whose lives were handed to them on a silver platter from day one. The ones who never had to carry the weight of trauma the way he did, yet their privilege is never questioned.
Snape goes through the worst situations cool and composed, be it murder, torture or anything else. The only three times we see him go absolutely unhinged are directly related to the Marauder’s bullying, so you might see how school left him with even bigger traumas than being a spy on the fight against an homicidal tyrant

Fanon Sirius Black, with his painted nails, black lipstick, piercings and poetic soul, seems like the perfect target for bullying by Canon Sirius Black. This is the same Sirius who spent seven years tormenting a boy simply because he was 'different'—poor, unconventional, and not meeting Sirius's aristocratic standards of masculinity and beauty. For heaven's sake, the irony writes itself.

Things Severus should have said to Dumbledore if he had good self-esteem and wasn’t dependent on the validation of a manipulative old man:
"You already have the info, the rest is your damn problem," after telling Dumbledore that Voldemort knew about the prophecy. He really didn’t owe anyone anything more.
"I already deal with these damn kids every day because of you. If the brat needs a babysitter, you find someone else," after Dumbledore had him working overtime to make sure Harry didn’t die in any of his school years.
"What I should make for him is a poison to see if he dies," after Dumbledore probably told him to make the Wolfsbane Potion for Lupin.
"Shake his hand? What I should do is hit him with a rock in the damn head," after Dumbledore forced him to shake hands with Sirius in Goblet of Fire.
"Euthanize you and let everyone think I'm the biggest piece of crap ever? How about I tell you to go fuck yourself instead?"

Hi I'm back from the dead because I saw something on insta about Snape (just a man with a whiteboard explaining why he won't forgive Snape).
Let me say... I just love...LOVE how people just love to focus more on what he did rather than what happened to him? The main point he wanted to point out though is that Snape asked Voldy to spare Lily. (Idk the way I see it I thought he only asked that because a) He cares about her b) He believed she's strong enough to atleast save Harry).
Why do we never see the same people admit he was wronged. Those who love him (including me) agree he could have done things differently. But they love to believe he asked Voldy to save her so he can have her (as if he was the one following around her and pestered her until she agreed to marry him...no that was James).
James is the example of what Severus could have actually done. But he actually left them alone and her actual stalker got married to her.
I don't really do a James slander I am just done with people saying they are thinking critically when they are not even giving someone a fighting chance
As always thoughts are welcome and please also remember THEY ARE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS!! I am worked up too but not so much that it will be in my head 24/7 I'm done ranting Adios

“Goodnight!” I say as though I’m not going to stay up for at least the next hour on ao3 or fanfiction.net reading Severitus fanfiction while giggling and pacing around my room every time Harry catches himself thinking of Severus as a father figure

I'm not crying, you are-
Hey, so, you know when Harry's holding Snape when he's dying, trying to stop the bleeding?
What if that was the first time Snape was touched by someone wanting to heal, not hurt-

Just imagine how touch starved Snape is. I mean he would be suspicious and I believe he wouldn’t like to be touched by a stranger but if he would be in the relationship…
I don’t think he asks openly to touch him but when a partner will, Snape will become a mess.
Goodnight ✌🏻

“If Snape hadn’t told Voldemort about the prophecy, then the Potters would still be alive.”
Yeah, sure, and then there wouldn’t be a story.

Severus Snape devoted his entire adult life to protect Harry Potter, son of the man who made Snape's life a living hell. He did this after Dumbledore failed to protect the Potter's. No amount of loyalty to Dumbledore could bring Lily back. No amount of trying to save lives and thwart the Dark Lord could bring his best friend back. Snape is not such a fool to think it could. Perhaps his redemption started with Lily, but it continued of his own volition.
